36 Hours   (UK, 14 mins, suitable for KS3/4)

 tells the story of a woman’s fall into depression and eventual suicide after another weekend devoted to cocaine.

Sarah and Ben had a happy relationship until they discovered cocaine.  Jo is the constant weekend visitor who arrives with enough supplies for the whole weekend.  As Sarah reviews her life and relationship, she realises there is no way out. 

As A Resource

This is designed as a one-lesson resource for drug awareness within the PHSE syllabus and includes:

14 minute film (VHS/dvd) plus  30-40 minute discussion/student exercise from worksheets.

The exercise is designed for the students to:

 ·        Assess the physical/mental states of the characters
·        Describe their relationships
·        Describe how they see the loyalty of the individual characters
·        Learn the origin of cocaine and it’s real use in medicine
